Don’t say I didn’t warn you. The new and extremely eccentric drama from director Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Wrestler, Requiem for a Dream) is his strangest work yet. Mother! most definitely is not a crowd-pleaser and will ultimately polarize viewers. Heck, the film earned some extreme reactions even at a local press-only screening. However, there is a lot going on under the surface of the film and it ultimately sticks in the brain long after the credits roll. On that level alone, it’s an interesting and intriguing experiment.

School gets an ‘A’ grade, breaks ground on new CAMPUS

It was a momentous occasion for Lincoln Elementary as they celebrated two major milestones on Sept. 11.

Lincoln Elementary received an “A” grade for exceptional educational achievement in raising test scores in just under five years. Raising the grade from a “D,” current Lincoln Elementary Principal Mary Washburn said it took a lot of work from both staff and students. Elated beyond words, Washburn says her entire staff has been working diligently for the past four years to this point and this indeed is a celebratory occasion.

AG Balderas Files Lawsuit against Trump to Protect Dreamers & Preserve DACA

Nearly 7,000 DACA Grantees in New Mexico

ALBUQUEQUE – Attorney General Hector Balderas joined a coalition of 16 Attorneys General in filing suit Sept. 6, to protect Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals grantees in New Mexico and across the United States.

The lawsuit, which was filed this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, details how the Trump Administration has violated the Equal Protection clause of the Constitution by discriminating against Dreamers of Mexican origin, who make up 78 percent of DACA recipients; violated Due Process rights; and harmed States’ residents, institutions, and economies.
