All she wants is someone who will play with her. Her favorite thing is when the Grants Animal Care Center volunteers go in and let her run around the cat room.
Kate is 7 months old and for someone who also wants a playtime companion, she is the perfect match.
Anyone interested in Kate can visit her at the Grants Animal Care Center at 722 Redondo Rd. in Grants, New Mexico. They are open Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
UNM-Gallup keeps ‘Holiday in New Mexico’ tradition alive
The University of New Mexico-Gallup continued its successful Holiday in New Mexico tradition with nearly 1,000 luminarias, more than 800 biscochitos, and a musical finale by mariachi entertainer Antonio Reyna Dec. 7.Families and children who visited the campus delighted in the festive decorations and the arrival of Santa Claus atop a Gallup Fire Department fire truck with a Campus Police escort. UNM mascot Lobo Louie was also thrilled to see Santa, giving him a big hug when he arrived.
Visitors also enjoyed the various activities organized by the branch campus’ departments and student clubs, including coloring, treats, ring toss games, chess, temporary tattoos, a North Pole...

In the year 2000, British animation studio Aardman premiered their first feature-length movie. That feature was Chicken Run and it was a massive hit with critics and at the box office. It likely would have snagged an Oscar for Best Animated Film, but remarkably this award category didn’t yet exist at the time. After a very, very long wait, a somewhat unexpected sequel has arrived.
