The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of whoever killed William Robert Nelson Jr.

On Aug. 27, 2015, partial skeleton remains later identified as Nelson were found along a trail near Iyanbito, N.M., on the Navajo Nation.

Nelson’s family had reported him missing in May 2014. At the time, blood and blood spatter were found in Nelson’s bedroom in Iyanbito.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Roger Johnson.

Johnson was found dead in the backseat of his white Hyundai Sonata located in a pasture off Tribal Road 12 in Isleta Pueblo, N.M. on Feb. 27, 2018.

Johnson, 69, died of stab wounds.

WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. — Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez, First Lady Phefelia Nez, and Second Lady Dottie Lizer signed a proclamation on March 2, recognizing March 2022 as “Read Across Navajo Nation Month,” in coordination with “Read Across America” to celebrate the joys of reading and to promote literacy to enhance the lives of Navajo students and families.

New research suggests that the movement of water  between the clouds, land and ocean due to climate change has intensified at twice the rate earlier predicted. Writing in the journal Nature, scientists say that rising global temperatures have been making this process more extreme, with water moving away from dry regions toward wetter ones.
