I’ll admit that it’s a bit difficult to review a stand-up comedy special, given that a performer’s style may be hilarious to one person while not striking the funny bone of another. However, with current entertainment options for review still being limited, I’ll do my best to give readers a sense of what they can expect from anything new coming your way. In this case, the program is Netflix’s Patton Oswalt: I Love Everything, which features the famous comedian delivering jokes to a live audience in Charlotte...

This is a great week if you want to stay in and watch some new Blu-ray/DVD releases. Thrillers, independents, documentaries, classics and comic books make for plenty of good viewing. So, if you can’t make it out to the movies, be sure to give one of these titles a try!

Flagstaff, Ariz.— Native American leaders, including Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez, Brooklyn, N.Y., Borough President Eric Adams, and renowned nutrition experts from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, are coming together on May 30 to help stop the spread of SARS-CoV-2 among Native Americans, boost immunity to viruses, and treat the chronic diseases that raise the risk of complications from the virus.



In a first joint effort, the groups will lead a free, four-hour Zoom webinar on May 30, for Native Americans. The event is sponsored by Native Americans for Community Action, the Navajo Nation Office of the President and Vice President, Diné Food Sovereignty...

Serene Hendrix, 83 of Las Cruces, NM died May 5, 2020. She was preceded in death by husband Andy Hendrix, daughter Andrea Hendrix and brother Darrell Julian. She is survived by son, Steve Hendrix, daughter Sandra Hendrix, brother Dwaine and Julian, sisters Janet Pedricelli, Jeanelle Simpson, grandkids Stevie and Garret. Funeral Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to her family.
