Third COVID-19 vaccines available for immunocompromised populations

In accordance with the New Mexico Department of Health’s guidelines, Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services' College Clinic is offering a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for certain immunocompromised populations.

The approved guidelines applies only to Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and individuals should receive the same type of vaccine they received for their initial two shots. The third dose should be administered at least 28 days after receiving the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. RMCHCS has been administering the Pfizer vaccine.

Navajo Nation Department of Public Safety looking for missing man

Navajo Nation Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's assistance in locating Carl L. Montoya-Franklin.

Franklin is a 36-year-old Hispanic male, 5’8” tall, weighing 240 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen on July 5, 2015, in the Church Rock, NM area. Franklin was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, gray sweatpants, a blue “NY Yankees” baseball hat, and a pair of white tennis shoes. Franklin does have a goatee and mustache. He also has tattoos on both arms, on both legs, and tattoos of “Game Over” on both eyelids. His whereabouts are unknown.

Navajo Nation Department of Public Safety looking for missing man

The Navajo Nation Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's assistance in locating Daniel C. White. White is a 43-year-old Hispanic male who is 5’7” tall, 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen on October 2, 2017, leaving Tohlakai to go look for work in a navy blue 2008 Toyota Corolla with a Michigan license plate of DPP-4998. White did not return. His whereabouts and destination are not known.

New COVID regulations announced

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced new COVID-19 regulations on Aug. 17.

Starting Aug. 20, everyone two years old and older is directed to wear a mask or multi-layer cloth face covering in all indoor public settings, except when a healthcare provider instructs otherwise or when the individual is eating or drinking.

Any business, establishment or non-profit (other than healthcare operations, utilities, or indigent care services) regularly visited by members of the public must report to the New Mexico Environment Department will monitor and report when an entity has four or more rapid responses within a 14-day period.

Rapid responses will be counted on a rolling basis.
