Gallup Police are still seeking 27-year-old Amber Yazzie as a person of interest in the shooting death of 50-year-old Russell Shack of Gallup on Dec. 3.

GPD Captain Erin Toadlena-Pablo told the Sun Dec. 8 that despite receiving a number of tips about Yazzie’s whereabouts and making several trips to reservation locations, Yazzie has not been spotted.

The Dec. 3 shooting took place near the 1400 block of Elva Drive around 10:09 am.

Yazzie is described as 5’2” tall, weighing approximately 138 pounds with a tattoo on her face.

Gallup Police are still looking for a new model silver four-door passenger car with a sun roof, chrome rims, and a black car-bra on the front bumper that left C and R Insurance at 1365 N. U. S. Hwy. 491 on Dec. 4 traveling north at a high rate of speed.

In the car were three suspects in an armed robbery. Two males and one female are being sought. The Albuquerque FBI Division wants to remind holiday shoppers to be wary of online criminals who will be working overtime to steal their money and personal information.

“The holidays are a busy time for shoppers, and unfortunately, also for thieves,” Special Agent in Charge Raul Bujanda said. “A lot of problems probably could be avoided if people remembered an important rule: If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.”
