ALBUQUERQUE — New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas issued the following statement and advisory to all New Mexicans in response to reports of rising costs and unavailability of baby formula:

The New Mexico Office of the Attorney General is investigating reports of increased cost and reduced availability of baby formula in New Mexico. It is the Attorney General’s belief and understanding that the federal government, including the Federal Drug Administration (the “FDA”) is working around the clock to get formula to shelves, indicating it would announce plans to streamline formula imports.

SANTA FE — It takes careful planning and a great deal of support to build and sustain a business incubator.

The New Mexico Economic Development Department will be hosting an online webinar June 7 to help communities to determine if a business incubator facility is the right investment.

The webinar, Is Business Incubation Right for Your Community?, will cover topics such as determining demand for a facility, paying for the facility and services, incubating target industries, and ensuring equitable access to programs and services.

I-40, mile marker 111.043 – 117.000, west of Laguna to Mesita

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. continues roadway reconstruction, ramp rehabilitation and bridge rehabilitation work. I-40 will be reduced to one lane from 7am-6pm.  The contractor will complete minor work, to include seeding, permanent signing, and striping.  Speed reduced to 55 mph.

Grants Police seek 'Black Cap Bandit'

The FBI and Grants Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to identify the "Black Cap Bandit," who is responsible for a bank robbery that happened on June 7.

At approximately 2:22 pm, an unknown man entered the Wells Fargo at 201 N. 1st St. in Grants. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The robber received an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank.

The suspect is described as a Native American man in his mid 20s, approximately 5' 7" to 5' 9", and approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap with an unknown white logo on it, a black sweater, a light colored surgical mask, blue jeans, and black shoes.
