CONSTRUCTION LARCENY

When security guard Cody Manygoats arrived at his worksite on Pipeline Road about 4:30 pm, he realized a number of cardboard boxes containing numerous plastic pipes and industrial sandbags were empty. He spoke with one of his coworkers who said nothing had been taken when he was on watch, so the items had gone missing between their shifts.

Manygoats called the incident into McKinley County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Savannah Williams met with Manygoats about the incident. He estimated about 20 sandbags had been taken along with the plastic pipes.

There are no suspects.

McKinley County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeremy Shirley was dispatched to the McKinley West Fire Department, 124 W. Hwy. 118, in reference to a drunk driver.

Shirley made contact with the caller, Ernestine Gordon, who told him the suspect vehicle had hit her car earlier. While enroute to the location where the driver was last seen, Shirley was advised a vehicle was parked on Beta Street and the driver was having difficulty standing and appeared to be ill.

When Shirley arrived at the scene on Beta Street, he saw a tan Chevrolet truck that matched the description of the vehicle given to him by Gordon. Shirley made contact with the driver, Tyler...

The Roswell Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in locating Osiel Ernesto Rico, a three-year-old Hispanic male, two-feet-six inches tall, weighing approximately forty pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Osiel was last seen on Jan. 5 at 602 E. Forest St. in Roswell, N.M. It is unknown what Osiel was last seen wearing. Osiel Ernesto Rico is missing and is believed to be in danger if not located.

It is believed he is in the company of Jorge Rico-Ruvira, a 32-year-old male. He is five-foot-eight inches tall, 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He is believed to be driving a 2003 maroon GMC Yukon SUV with a New Mexico turquoise Centennial license plate MNF231. ...

Fire truck equipment missing

In the early morning hours of Dec. 15, McKinley County Sheriff’s Deputy Terrance Willie was on routine patrol in the White Cliffs area, when he noticed an open garage door at the volunteer fire department.  After checking, he discovered there were no other vehicles around.  He dialed Metro Dispatch and asked about any calls out for the Gallup Fire Department.  There were none.

Willie searched the interior of the fire department building and found no one inside. He discovered that someone had gained entry into the building through the roof.
