Belone was arrested July 7 in the Walmart parking lot when Gallup Police Officer Matthew Ashley witnessed Belone pass a vehicle in a crosswalk area while pedestrians were in the crosswalk. After failing several field sobriety tests, she was taken to the New Mexico State Police Office and given a breathalyzer. The results on her breathalyzer tests were .15, .15. She was taken to the jail and charged with Aggravated DWI and careless driving.

Gallup Police are currently looking for an unknown male who attempted to rob Subway at 409 West Aztec Ave. According to the poster, on July 13 a male entered the establishment and told the cashier that he was robbing her. Due to the male appearing intoxicated, she didn’t take him seriously and closed the drawer. The male left the business in a Navy Blue Jeep Patriot, and he is being described as being possibly in his late 20s, tall and heavy build. The Gallup Police Department responded to a shots fired call July 10 shortly after 11pm, according to Captain Rick White.

“Friday, about 11:16pm, officers were dispatched to First and Lincoln in reference to shots being fired,” White said.

North First and East Lincoln is located a mere two blocks from Maloney Avenue and just a short walk from two highly utilized neighborhood parks as well as a school and a church.

While the incident is still very much under investigation, witnesses were able to identify a vehicle that was in the area at the time the shots were heard.

Andres Pinto, 31, Albuquerque was arrested after an alleged bar fight July 11. According to the police report, filed by GPD Officer Timothy Hughte, Pinto’s brother said that he had picked up his brother and gone to Sports Page.

Pinto asked for the vehicle keys so that he could charge his cell phone and his brother later discovered that Pinto had taken off with his vehicle. He told police that he called his brother told him to bring his “vehicle back to the bar due to his intoxication level.”

Pinto returned to the bar where they began to argue.
