Speeding driver eludes police
Michael Charley managed to avoid seeing officers again on the night of Nov. 26, after they conducted a traffic stop and advised him he would receive a warning citation for speeding on Highway 602.
Still, using the identification card Charley had provided authorities, Deputy Terence Willie was able to submit the affidavit for numerous charges, including: aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, no registration, no insurance, failure to stop at a red light...
Northside shooting leaves one man dead
Gallup Police responded to calls of shots fired shortly after 6 pm. When they arrived on scene, they found a man shot dead. The victim has been identified as Adam Chee, 37, of Gallup.
At the scene, detectives questioned Jonathan Wright, 27, of Gallup.
From there, Wright was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and retaining stolen property, in this case a firearm. Both charges are felonies.
As of press time, Pablo did not say whether Wright will be charged with the murder of Chee.

McKinley County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Jim arrived at the site of a one-vehicle crash near 209 Mentmore Rd. Metro Dispatch told him a green Jeep had driven into a ditch by a driver who appeared intoxicated.
At the scene, Jimmet with Deputy Clayton Etsitty, who made contact with the Jeep’s driver, Donna Tolino, 39, of Gallup. She had bloodshot eyes and slurred her speech, and she smelled of alcohol. When Jim asked her what happened, she said she was taking the Jeep on a test drive when the warning lights came on and then things went wrong.

Double homicide suspect arrested at Gallup hotel
In a coordinated law enforcement effort, New Mexico State Police officers, along with federal law enforcement agencies, tracked down and arrested Adre Jordan Baroz Nov. 19.
Also known as “Psycho,” Baroz was wanted in connection for murder of two people in southern Colorado.
New Mexico State Police officers in Gallup aided ATF and U.S. Marshals Service in arresting Baroz, 26, at a hotel north of Gallup. He was taken into custody without incident.
Baroz was arrested on a fugitive of justice warrant for two counts of murder. He was booked by the New Mexico State Police into the Gallup-McKinley County Adult Detention Center where he awaits extradition to Colorado.
