Being refused service at a liquor store led to Adrian Gilmore, 43, of Yatahey, being arrested and charged with another DWI.

An employee of Sagebrush Liquors at 452 Hwy. 264 turned away a customer and called Metro Dispatch to advise the customer had left the store and was traveling westbound in a brown Buick Regal.

Tractor trailer driver arrested for DWI

A man driving a tractor trailer was arrested for a DWI.

A freightliner tractor-trailer, driven by Johnnie Ray Punch Jr., 45, of Houston, Texas, entered the Gallup Port of Entry on Sept. 2 around 12 pm. Inspectors told Punch to park in the main parking lot to purchase a needed permit.  Instead of parking as inspectors had asked, Ponce entered an inspection bay.

When inspectors made contact with Punch, they smelt a strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath. A New Mexico State Police officer at the port of entry was notified. After a subsequent DWI investigation Punch was arrested for DWI.

The Albuquerque FBI Violent Gang Task Force executed 16 federal search warrants in various locations in Albuquerque and at Bernalillo County’s Metropolitan Detention Center on Sept. 1 as part of an ongoing RICO/VICAR investigation targeting violent street and prison gangs.

Drunk driver becomes violent, damages police car

A man was driving drunk and became violent with police when they pulled him over. He also damaged a police car.

On Aug. 29, around 9 am, Gallup Police Officer Alana Bradley was driving eastbound on Highway 66 near the intersection of Second Street when she noticed a gray car driving westbound on Highway 66 try to make a left hand turn onto Second Street, which is one-way street.
