BUSTED AT BURGER KING

6/12, Gallup

GDP Officer John Gonzales was dispatched to Burger King, 2400 E. Historic Hwy 66, in reference to a vehicle break-in. Mario Gordon was found seated in a black Ford Expedition bearing Arizona plates and a broken window. There was a rock on the ground. Gordon, 27, was arrested on charges of Breaking and Entering.

Mentmore man jailed on breaking-and-entering, evasion charges

A Mentmore man remained behind bars June 16 after arrested on charges of breaking and entering; criminal damage to property; resisting; and evading or obstructing an officer, according to a police report.

Officer Chavo Chischilly of the Gallup Police Department wrote in a report that Marcus Spencer, 26, was the sole suspect in several downtown break-ins that began several minutes after 1 am on June 14.

Chischilly initially responded to an alarm at Richardson’s on Historic Highway 66, and ended up responding to broken glass reports at Wells Fargo (300 W. Aztec Ave.), Gallup Custom Tinting Inc. (110 S. Third St.), and The Rex Museum on Highway 66. A vehicle was also damaged.

Working the DWI Task Force Patrol, MCSO Inv. Merle Bates received a radio call about a drunk driver. Bates noticed a dark truck southbound on Hwy 491 near Coal Basin Road. The suspect vehicle pulled off into the Dairy Queen lot, 1050 N. Hwy 491. When he arrived at the car, Bates noticed the smell of alcohol coming from the window.

Hannaweeke-Lamy, 41, slurred his speech, had bloodshot, watery eyes, and the car had two open containers inside. Hannaweeke-Lamy failed field sobriety testing and blew a .17 and .18 during the breath tests.

Intoxicated man goes on window breaking rampage

At about 1:30 am early Tuesday morning, the Wells Fargo Bank, 300 West Aztec Ave, alarm was set off by an intoxicated male wielding a fire extinguisher. The suspect, Marcus Spencer, broke four windows in all, and could have easily walked into the bank – but he didn't.

Instead, sources say, Spencer, 26, then made his way across to A Turney's Inc., 207 S. Third St., and broke a window there, reportedly using the same fire extinguisher.

He then headed north down Third Street, breaking several car windows along the way.

Next, he set his sights on the Rex Museum, 301 West Historic Highway 66, and broke out the frontage window with rock and trash can...
