Amanda was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa A. Casias of Gallup, her son Amadio D. Martinez, of Gallup, her brother David J. Casias of Gallup and her stepfather, Doroteo A. Silva (Tony) of Gallup.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Oct. 30 at 10:30 am.

She was born Sept. 15, 1924 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Thomas Shearman and Floria Inglis (Shearman). She had three brothers and a sister. She graduated cum laude with a history degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Marjorie married Robert H. Beck, a professional airline pilot, who was later publisher and owner of the “Roswell Daily Record” in Roswell, New Mexico.

Arturo was born to Virginia and Prajeres Candelaria in San Mateo, N.M., where he and his wife, Mary Lou, raised their four children and spent time with grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He spent his life mining uranium, raising cattle and racehorses, farming the land, and working as Cibola County Commissioner. He loved going up the mesa to have a picnic and would never turn down an opportunity to drink a beer with a friend.
Arturo was loved by many. He was truly our rock and definitely one in a million.
