WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. – Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez and Vice President Myron Lizer offer condolences to the family and loved ones of Navajo veteran Karen Lynn Yazzie, who passed away at the age of 48.

USAF E3 Karen Lynn Yazzie served in the U.S. Air Force for five years.

Yazzie was originally from Coyote Canyon, N.M. She is survived by her three children, Kobe Yazzie, Dron Jones, Maya Lynn Flores, her husband, Luis Flores, and her parents, Burton and Susie Yazzie.

Julie Ann Livingston, of Sundance, N.M. died Dec. 6,. She was 69.

She was born in Rehoboth, N.M. on Dec. 13, 1951.

Julie was preceded in death by (father) Navajo Code talker George Smith.

She is survived by son Matthew Livingston, daughters Merrisha Livingston, Merriam Bowman Abeita.

Funeral Services were held at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel on Dec. 14. at 1:30pm.

Amanda Rose Casias, of Gallup died Oct. 7. She was 34.

She was born in Gallup, on Aug. 13, 1987.

Amanda was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa A. (Perez) Silva and maternal Grandparents, Max & Amelia (Lueras) Perez, Rose Mazon-Lopez & Paternal Grandparents, Joseph P. & Ramona (Sandoval) Casias. She is survived by her daughter, Diamond L. Casias of Gallup, her son Amadio D. Martinez, of Gallup, her brother David J. Casias of Gallup and her stepfather, Doroteo A. Silva (Tony) of Gallup.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Oct. 30 at 10:30 am.
