Running Time: 129 min.

The latest receiving the treatment is Beauty and the Beast, considered one of the very best modern animated efforts from the company.

For those unfamiliar with the fairy tale, the story follows young Belle (Emma Watson), the bookish but pretty daughter of the eccentric Maurice (Kevin Kline). When Maurice gets...

Kong: Skull Island feels a bit like one of those old movies, only heightened with top-tier special effects. It’s certainly enjoyable to an extent. Yet after so many iterations, these movies still forget an essential element that can really elevate a story - the human characters.

This re-imagining is set...

Bad Kids of Crestview Academy - Only in the movies can you end up spending a Saturday in detention. Taking its cue from The Breakfast Club, this comic thriller is about a group of kids who find themselves at school, locked up and being picked off one by one by another student who blames them for a sibling’s death. Running Time: 137 min.

It has been quite a run for Hugh Jackman in one of his most memorable roles as the X-Men superhero, Wolverine. Logan, which marks his ninth onscreen appearance as Wolverine, is by far the darkest tale for the character. Perhaps encouraged by the R-rated hit, Deadpool, the filmmakers have been allowed to go down a more adult path (if you consider dropping more f-bombs and adding graphic violence mature). Regardless, this is still a strong movie, bolstered by some solid performances and an attempt to deliver something a little different.

Set several years in the future, human mutations have seemingly stopped and pre-existing...
