First things first: despite being called The Edge of Seventeen, you’re not going to hear the famous Stevie Nicks tune over the course of this film. I suppose it’s a strange thing to take notice of, but when you name a movie after a song, you just kind of expect to...

His latest is called Loving, and it’s a very sweet and affecting tale based around a true story. It’s also a lot more traditional and straightforward in its approach than one might have expected.

This feature depicts the 1959 union of Richard (Joel Edgerton) and Mildred Loving (Ruth Negga), and their eight-year struggle to be recognized as a married couple in...

Indignation - Based on the novel by Philip Roth, this period drama follows a young Jewish boy who enrolls in university to avoid the draft. Unfortunately, the institute is extremely conservative, leading to conflict when the lead begins dating a female student. Reviews were generally very strong, although some found it a bit dry. The greater part complimented the way the design, look and feel of the era was...
