In reading you last edition of the Sun, and other papers I might add, the article on Marijuana, and the poll disturbs me.
Besides the fact that I am an un-believer in the benefits, the poll is what disturbs me the most. It says 61% in favor. Well 61% of 400 people is not worth printing.

Letter to the Editor: GOP’s genocidal policies at work

Along with the 2016 presidential election, after its August Congressional recess, hearings will resume with this notorious Republican agenda: 1. Abrogate all treaties signed between the United States government and all 566 federally recognized tribes; 2. Dissolve all established reservation boundary lines; 3. Begin the plunder of the vast natural resources that lie under our feet (water, uranium, coal, gas, oil. etc.).
After the mass killings of millions of Indigenous peoples the U.S. government and military placed us on the “Bad Lands” dubbed “reservations” in the hope that its genocidal policies would wipe us off the face of the earth, however, we stood our grounds...

Thank you for your publication of the valuable stories about the Jim Harlin Community Pantry.The first story about the HOPE Garden grants credit to Youth Conservation Corps. I am the long-time director of that excellent City of Gallup sponsored youth workforce program. Over 15 years, Gallup YCC has completed a number of worthwhile projects of durable community benefit with a trained, equipped, supervised, and paid youth workforce recruited from our community.
Corps members are appropriately proud of all their work –adventure trails, safe routes to school, gardens, restoration projects. Gallup YCC built the Brickyard Bike Park alongside City Parks & Recreation workers and...

I say at the top that I am not attempting to get alcohol banned in drunk city or “dry” reservation. I will also not bring up the pros and cons of drinking alcohol.Used, abused, addicted drinkers, the calvary is you. If you do not quit drinking cold, the cons that I am not listing, await you.
