An electrical outage with an uknown cause occurred around 12:30 am on May 1.
In a press release published later that day the City of Gallup stated that the large outage came from the Noe Substation. The city's Electric Department restored power by switching loads to other Substations.
The Department is currently investigating the cause of the outage. It is the department's goal to work on this as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible, while minimizing disruption to neighborhoods and businesses.
