NM traffic report for Nov. 13-24

Interstate:

I-40, mile marker 44, Coolidge Interchange

El Terrero Construction, LLC has switched traffic to the eastbound lanes. Eastbound has two lanes open and westbound is reduced to one lane via median crossover detour. Speed reduced to 55 mph through the work zone.The contractor’s work hours are 7 am to 6pm, weekdays.

All traffic control will remain in place 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Peak travel times are Thursdays through Sundays from 2 pm to 9 pm. To avoid delays due to backups, please travel during off-peak travel times.

I-40, mile marker 25.3-26.5, Gallup

Albuquerque Asphalt will move operations to Gallup for mill and fill work.  The westbound lane will be reduced to one lane and then operations will be moved to eastbound I-40.

All work is expected to be complete on Nov. 16. Speed reduced to 55 mph through the work zone. The contractor’s work hours are 6 am to 6 pm, weekdays.

State Roadways:

NM 566, mile marker 0.000-0.866, BNSF Bridge at Church Rock

FNF Construction, Inc. continues bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction work.  Traffic has been shifted onto the detour pavement, just west of the existing roadway and western portion of the bridge.  Speed is reduced to 35 mph through the work zone.  The contractor’s work hours are 7 am to 6 pm, weekdays.

NM 566, mile marker 6.0-7.0, north of Church Rock

Kiewit New Mexico Co. continues work on a bridge replacement project north of Church Rock.  NM 566 will be reduced in both directions with a flagger to guide traffic through the construction zone.  Expect minor delays.  The contractor’s work hours are 7 am to 6 pm, weekdays.
