Suspect at large in Allsup's shooting

Details remain sketchy, regarding a homicide that occurred at the Allsup’s convenience store, 112 Arnold Street, about 11:18 pm on Jan. 9.

The victim, identified as 21-year-old Francisco L. Logan of Gallup, was shot and later died at the hospital, according to police.

Gallup Police Capt. Marinda Spencer said the shooting is being treated as a homicide. Police didn’t respond to questions on whether a store clerk was involved, and/or whether the shooting occurred inside the store.

Spencer said they have no suspects at this time.

Anyone who has any information on this case is asked to contact GPD detectives at (505) 863-9365 during business hours, or (505)722-2231 after business hours.

The red pickup truck and store surveillance photo circulating social media, is no longer needed, Spencer said.

Gallup Street Dept. starts week of milling, paving

Milling and paving operations begin July 28 at Viro Circle from Aztec Avenue to Copper Avenue.

The Gallup Street Department asks that motorists avoid parking on the street.

There will be signs posted. Drivers are reminded to seek alternate routes and proceed with caution.

This project is scheduled for July 28 through August 4, weather permitting.

A teen from McPherson, Kansas is being sought by Gallup Police.

Gracie Rose Patton is 15 years old, stands five-feet-nine-inches tall and weighs 198 pounds. She has brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair with orange highlights.

When last seen she was wearing a gray sweatshirt, green shorts, and black shoes and was leaving the Quality Inn and Suites at 1500 W. Maloney Ave., in Gallup. It was July 26 at 9:00 pm.

Patton was on foot, but had made comments about visiting an unknown city in Colorado to meet her sister, Matayevieon Jones, who is 22 years old.

UPDATE: Police shooting involving Cibola County Sheriff's Office

Deceased male suspect named

BLUEWATER VILLAGE, N.M.  - On Dec. 6, the New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was contacted to investigate a police shooting involving the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office. State Police agents learned that around 11:30 am, the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office was attempting to serve an arrest warrant on John Guerin,76, of Blue Water Village at #18 Mary Ann Dr., in Cibola County.

As deputies approached the front door of the residence, at least one gunshot was fired from inside the residence towards the location of deputies. At this point Deputies Kimery Ward, Anthony Kemp, and Alan Roane discharged their duty firearms towards the front window of the trailer. Deputies then set up a perimeter, and requested New Mexico State Police Tactical Team. As New Mexico State Police Tactical Team officers and Crisis Negotiations officers arrived, a single gunshot was heard from within the trailer Guerin was later located.

New Mexico State Police Tactical Team officers and K9 officers made entry into the trailer and located Guerin inside with a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Next to Guerin was a .22 caliber handgun. Guerin was pronounces deceased by the Office of the Medical Investigator.

Deputy Kimery Ward has been with CCSO for approximately five years.  Deputy Anthony Kemp has been with CCSO for approximately five years. Deputy Alan Roane has been CCSO for approximately three years. For information on the arrest warrant that deputies were attempting to serve, please contact CCSO.
