Meet Jenny and Liberty! They’re both currently at the McKinley County Humane Society. Jenny is about 2 years old and Liberty is about 4 years old.

Jenny is a very expressive dog. When she gets excited she shakes her whole body. The humane society staff say she’s not good on a leash, but she is very trainable and smart. She would make a great hiking dog.

She is good with other dogs and cats.  She does have a lot of energy though, and will need room to run.

Liberty came into the shelter as a stray. She does have mange, but the humane society is currently treating it and she is responding to the treatment and is almost healed up!

She is super great with kids and loves other dogs. She is a funny girl too, and once she gets her walk in her personality really shines; otherwise she’s a sleepy girl. She would be a great house dog.

The McKinley County Humane Society is currently having a special on all adult dogs. Anyone interested in adopting an adult dog would only pay $99. This price includes  the adoption fee plus spay or neuter, microchip, cone, any pain medication and any age appropriate vaccine. The special lasts until the end of June.

Anyone interested in Jenny or Liberty can visit them at the McKinley County Humane Society at 1273 Balok St. in Gallup. They are open Tuesday-Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm.
