Running Time: 22 minutes per episode

This Apple Original series is now available to stream on Apple TV+.

For some strange reason, over the last year or so this reviewer has been watching a significantly greater number of children’s shows. Among recent productions, Bluey is the current gold standard for animated fare (I could write pages about the best episodes of that program). Some other efforts are perfectly entertaining for kids, but this reviewer finds many to be surprisingly overactive. Running Time: 100 minutes

The picture, about the emotions of a youngster, was such a critical and commercial hit that it is something of a surprise a follow-up hadn’t arrived sooner. Inside Out 2 features the lead character entering her teenage years and developing a new set of feelings that play havoc with her behavior. Truthfully, it’s a sequel that doesn’t match the original, yet has enough inventive and amusing moments to please.

As mentioned, new...

Rating: 2 out of 4

Running Time: 115 minutes

This feature from Sony Pictures is now in theaters.

It has been 29 years since the original Bad Boys arrived at theaters. The $19 million dollar action picture didn’t fare particularly well with critics of the day, but audiences turned the movie into a box office hit. Bad Boys: Ride or Die is the fourth title in the series. This loud effort essentially delivers more of the same and there is barely a moment when the characters aren’t shooting or shouting at each other.

Audiences should be warned that this film is closely...
