Gallup residential customers within the city limits can place all unwanted junk, bulk items, appliances and furniture curbside by 8 am Saturday on the date designated for your neighborhood. Items must be curbside away from all obstructions (trees, cars, mailboxes, fences, utility meters/covers). Please separate metal and tires from other debris. Restrictions apply. Fairfield Inn & Suites has Grand Opening
The new Fairfield Inn & Suites on East Historic Highway 66 had a Grand Opening June 3, helped in the effort by the Chamber of Commerce, Don Diego’s Restaurant, and local politicians who attended.A crowd of around 100 showed up to take a tour of the hotel offered by Manager Alexandra Griego and owner Deepesh Kholwadwala of Sun Capital Hotels.
The 72-room hotel, complete with an indoor pool and exercise room as well as a comfortable and spacious lobby, actually opened for business a couple of months ago, but invited many local residents to the Grand Opening ceremony so they could see for themselves what they had to offer guests.

Future Foundations: Gateway to fun, resources – even education
GRANTS – Vegetables and more are growing at Future Foundations in Grants. Founded 20 years ago as a response to a tragedy involving a local child, FF is a community center providing a vibrant mix of activities to children, youth and adults.On top of a newly refurbished greenhouse filled with tomatoes, peas, chili peppers, okra and more, two newly constructed wooden raised bed gardens were recently built. Local Youth Conservation Corps members constructed the raised bed gardens which already house a future chili crop.
