Mentmore man sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for carjacking, assault

ALBUQUERQUE – A Mentmore man is facing seven and half years in jail after he attacked a woman.

Nathan Singer Lee, 28, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, was staying at the home of the victim, also an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, in Ramah since Jan. 26, 2020.

Gallup Police pulled over Sharon Jeff, 56, of Gallup, after she was found driving without headlights. She was arrested for her third DWI.

Officer Vincent Thompson reportedly witnessed the suspect vehicle, a gray Ford Focus, drive from Sports Page Bar at 1400 S. Second St. to Apache Circle without headlights before he pulled the vehicle over at the intersection of Apache Circle and Park Avenue.

Missing endangered juvenile

The Gallup Police is seeking the public's assistance in locating Enel Halona.

She is a 13-year-old Native American girl. She is 5 feet tall, and weighs about 100 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

Halona was last seen around 11 pm on Dec. 22 at the Cliffside Apartments.  It is believed she was last seen walking north from the apartments wearing a dark blue jacket, grey sweatpants, and black crocs. Her whereabouts and destination are not known.

Halona is missing and believed to be in danger if she's not located.

GPD on the lookout for two people

The man that was shot outside of Pep Boys on Dec. 6 has been identified.

On Dec. 6, around 11:30 am, Gallup Police officers were dispatched to Pep Boys, 702 U.S. Hwy. 491, in reference to shots fired.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a deceased male, who appeared to have been shot. He was identified as Brandon Lee, 37, of Tsayatoh, N.M.

Detectives obtained two arrest warrants for two wanted persons. Quinton White, 25, of Gallup, has already been arrested and booked on the first warrant. He has been charged with accessory to murder (a capital felony) and harboring or aiding a felon (a fourth degree felony).

A vehicle crash on I-40 resulted in a Yatahey man, Nelson Kinsel, 62, being arrested and charged with his third DWI.

McKinley County Deputy Dewayne Holder responded to a call for assistance at the crash site near the 39.4 mile marker. Holder arrived at the scene and met Officer Dominic Molina, who showed him a blue GMC Sierra that had stopped in a ditch to the side of the eastbound lanes.
