GPD locates another suspect allegedly involved in McDonald’s shooting

Another arrest connected to the March 6 shooting at the McDonald’s at 2009 W. Hwy. 66 has been made.

Rodger Martinez Jr., 24, was arrested March 13 in connection with the incident.

Officers were dispatched to the McDonald’s around 7:15 pm March 6 after a restaurant employee was allegedly assaulted with a firearm. As officers were responding to the call, Metro Dispatch told them that shots were being fired at the business.

When Gallup Police Officer Christopher Dawes arrived at the scene, he met with an employee who said he’d walked an order out to a dark blue Chevy Malibu. The employee said the driver asked him who was working the front of the restaurant.

Pinedale man pleads guilty to sexual abuse

A Pinedale man has pled guilty to sexual abuse of a minor.

According to the plea agreement and other court documents, during December 2020,  Sheldon Livingston engaged in a sexual act with a child who was younger than 12 years old. The assault took place in McKinley County on the Navajo Nation.

Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced April 19 that Livingston, 23,  pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact of a child under 12 in Indian Country. Livingston will remain in custody pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled.

The Gallup Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Laura Martinez, 25.

Martinez is five feet tall. She weighs about 198 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

Martinez was last seen April 17 around 4:15 am at the Loves gas station in Gallup. Her direction of travel is unknown.

The Gallup Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Darnell Owens Smith, 40. Smith is five feet and nine inches tall. He weighs about 145 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue pullover, and Ariat boots. Smith was last seen April 10 around 4:30 pm at the Chamisal trailer park. His direction of travel is unknown.
