City of Gallup officials announced on July 11 that the Joe Vargas Veterans Memorial Complex, formerly known as Ford Canyon Park, will soon be reopening.
On July 15, the City invites the community to visit and walk the new AstroTurf fields.
There are some rules that will need to be followed and enforced in order to make the huge investment last for many years to come.
To help all members of the community enjoy the facility, the City asks for your cooperation in complying with the following rules:
- Approved equipment only
- Molded cleats or athletic shoes only
- No sharp objects
- No stakes or corner flags
- No food, gum, or seeds
- No tobacco
- No beverages (water only)
- no pets
- no bicycles
