A two-vehicle crash killed one man May 29.

Around 9:30 pm that night, were called to a scene involving two vehicles on State Road 118, west of Gallup.

According to a press release, a 1998 Dodge pickup truck, driven by Gregory Bradfield, 44, of Wichita, Kan., was traveling westbound on the road  around mile marker 14.  Bradfield attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him and in doing so, crashed head on into a 2006 GMC pickup truck that was driving eastbound. The crash caused the Dodge truck to roll over. Bradfield was declared dead at the scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator.

The driver of the GMC truck was transported to an area hospital. Their condition is unknown. The 3 other passengers in the GMC truck were treated and released on scene.

This crash is being investigated by the New Mexico State Police.
