Welcome to another look at highlights arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD. This is another relatively quiet edition, but there are a few notable releases arriving on disc. So, if you can’t make it out to the movies this week or need to stay indoors, be sure to give one of these titles a try.

FAR HAVEN: In this western, a Civil War veteran returns to his hometown after serving time for fighting with superiors. He discovers that his father-in-law has been brutally attacked by a gang of criminals who are threatening the entire area. The beginning of a new year is generally considered to be something of a slow season at the movies. Some awards hopefuls are still arriving at theaters after qualifying runs in major markets like New York and Los Angeles (The Zone of Interest and Origin being a couple of examples), but the general rule is that other releases during this period are, well, misfits or titles that the studios don’t have as much confidence in.

Still, over the years there have been plenty of winners that have made a significant impact. The Silence of the Lambs came out in February of 1991 and went on to win Best Picture at the Oscars some 13 months later. Other titles like The Lego Movie...

The 1972 Uruguayan Flight 571 disaster was one of the most horrifying yet strangely inspirational tragedies of its day.
