A Gallup woman, arrested Nov. 1 as the result of a drug investigation and raid, was bonded out of jail 24 hours later, records show.

Terri Medina, 43, was jailed at the McKinley County Adult Detention Center on possession of a controlled substance with the intent to traffic and possession of drug paraphernalia charges. Medina got out of jail Nov. 2 on a $5,000 bond, according to jail records.

Gallup Police Department Officer Ryan Blackgoat was dispatched to 501 South Patton Dr. in reference to an accident with injuries. At the scene, according to his report, Blackgoat and a supporting officer made contact with a man slumped over the passenger seat of a stopped Chevy car. The man smelled strongly of alcohol.

TEENAGER REPORTED SUICIDAL, CAUSES PROPERTY DAMAGE

At about 2:02 pm, McKinley County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Nocona Clark was dispatched to 301 Summit in regards to Ray Jones, 15, for breaking the windows of his mother’s home. Upon arrival, Clark spoke with the suspect’s mother and observed broken windows on an RV and pickup. According to the report, Jones threatened suicide and fled the scene before the officer’s arrival.

Laguna Pueblo man sentenced to prison for federal sexual abuse conviction

ALBUQUERQUE – Benjamin Shiosee, 38, a member and resident of Laguna Pueblo, was sentenced this morning in federal court in Albuquerque, to 36 months in prison followed by 25 years of supervised release. Shiosee will also be required to register as a sex offender after he completes his prison sentence.



Shiosee, a former certified nursing assistant, was arrested on March 1, 2016, on a criminal complaint alleging that he sexually abused a patient on Sept. 4, 2015, on the Laguna Pueblo in Cibola County.
