ALBUQUERQUE — The Democratic Party of New Mexico released the following statement after Donald Trump’s inauguration:
“As Trump kicks off his second term from the comfort of an indoor inauguration, his priorities include decimating health care and social security, ending constitutionally-protected birthright citizenship, imposing tariffs that will raise everyday costs, antagonizing America’s closest allies, and improving the quality of life for billionaires. Beyond that, it is already clear that Donald Trump has no idea what he is doing and that many of his campaign trail promiseswere bogus. Throughout the Trump presidency, New Mexico Democrats will be here to speak out when he puts corporate interests first, abuses his presidential powers, and makes disastrous economic choices. We trust that Americans will see through the Trump-Vance Day One agenda set by billionaires and right-wing influencers. Thankfully for all of us, we already know from his first term that Trump is utterly inept.”
