NAVAJO RUG WEAVING

9 am - 1 pm @ Gallup Muncipal Airport (2111 W. Hwy. 66). Meet and mingle with aviation pilots, car, truck, and motorcycle owners, and balloonists.

 

FALL CRAFT FAIR

9 am - 2 pm @ The Elks Lodge (1112 Susan Ave.). Come visit, browse, and buy local crafters’ and artists’ hand-made crafts, art, and baked goods.

 

HALLOWEEN ESCAPE ROOM

12 pm - 4 pm @ Rio West Mall (1300 W. Maloney Ave.). Join OFPL at Rio West Mall for some spooky Halloween escape room fun! Escape room sessions will begin every half-hour, and space will be first come, first served.

PUBLIC LECTURE FEATURING RAMONA EMERSON

6 pm @ UNM-Gallup Gurley Hall. UNM-Gallup will host a Public Lecture featuring Diné writer and filmmaker Ramona Emerson. She is the author of the critically-acclaimed and award-winning novel Shutter as well as the recently released follow-up novel Exposure.

 

INTRODUCTION TO NANOWRIMO

7 pm - 8 pm @ OFPL’s main library (115 W. Hill Ave.). NaNoWriMo is an annual creative writing challenge where participants write a novel in 30 days. Join OFPL’s NaNoWriMo Writing Group, which will meet every Tuesday in Novemember from 7 pm to 8 pm. Meet other writers, get feedback from local educator Ky George, and share your progress.

 

HACK CLUB

4 pm - 5 pm @ OFPL’s Children’s Branch (200 W. Aztec Ave.). Hack Club is a  nonprofit organization that provides community and support to teen coding groups across the country.  Participants learn how to use code to create real-world projects.

This event is open to all ages but designed especially for kids, with plenty of fun, candy, and spooky surprises! Come in costume, learn about making healthy choices, and enjoy a frightfully good time!

Experienced early childhood intervention therapists from The Therapy Academy will guide you and your little one in creating beautiful and unique pieces together.
