Will Kamala Harris attend the U.N. Climate Week?

WASHINGTON D.C. — With the United Nations Climate Week set to kick off this weekend, it’s unclear whether Vice President Kamala Harris will be attending. Since becoming the Democratic Nominee for President, Harris has reversed herself on key energy positions such as fracking, electric vehicle mandates, and single-use plastics. These new positions would normally put her at odds with supporters during Climate Week. Historically, Harris has attended international climate conferences, including December’s UN’s COP28 where she pledged $3 billion in taxpayer dollars to support the climate agenda.

“Kamala Harris may run as far away from this conference as possible, but her heart will always be with the climate agenda,” Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future, said. “If they were honest, attendees at Climate Week would protest and condemn the new Kamala she’s trying to sell to voters. However, the elitists at UN Climate Week will stay silent as Kamala runs to the center because they know she’s lying and she’s really one of them.”

In the past, Harris has said, “I don’t call it climate change, I call it a climate crisis.” Yet, during the most recent Presidential Debate, Harris continued to stand by her recent reversal on fracking while offering no explanation for her changed position.
