When the team captain got hurt during the Aug. 27 game against Thoreau, she took over the team and motivated them to win.

Alexis is a setter, who is being converted into the libero role this season. She controls the team’s defensive calls and is instrumental in their offensive attack. She is a great role model, a great athlete in multiple sports, and more importantly, a great person. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and keeps a 4.0 + GPA.

Paitience is the Star Athlete of the week based on her performance in the game against Dulce. She hustled on the court and made key plays that helped keep the game close. Haley really took charge of the girls’ team at the last meet. A couple of girls had not run a race before and Haley coached and encouraged them. She led the girls’ team during the race and came in first for Ramah.
