NAVAJO ASTRONOMY

4 pm @ LIVE on Zoom or in-person at the Main Library (115 W. Hill Ave). The final virtual presentation in the series will further discuss traditional Navajo astronomy, constellations, and the unique way in which Navajo people view the cosmos and their place within it.  Astronomy kits are available using the Supply Request Form at ofpl.online. SATURDAY, MARCH 12

8TH ANNUAL YOUTH ART SHOW

11:45 am virtual opening on gallupART’s Facebook page. 12 pm - 6 pm in-person opening @ ART123 Gallery (123 W. Coal Ave.). Featuring over 200 student artists from nine schools across McKinley County.

SPAY AND NEUTER CLINIC

9 am to 10 am @ Puerco Valley Fire District (Hwy 191, half a mile south of I-40, Sanders, AZ). 25 spots are available to schedule your pet’s spay or neutering surgery. The surgery would be on March 19, but interested parties need to make a deposit of $20 by March 12. The deposit is nonrefundable.

GALLUP 9TH ST. FLEA MARKET

9 am to 5 pm @ 340 9th Street. The Gallup 9th Street Flea Market is one of the largest Native American markets in the United States. With more than 500 vendors and as many as 10,000 visitors each week, you can find food, crafts, jewelry, livestock, and household goods.

PET VACCINE DRIVE-THRU

9 am - 3pm @ Navajo Nation Veterinary Clinic (1287 Off Highway 254, Tse Bonito, NM). Getting vaccines is an important necessity that helps save an animal from unnecessary common diseases. The vaccine clinic is open to any puppy, kitten, cat, or dog. No appointments necessary.

EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

9 am to 12 pm. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program makes funding available to assist households that are unable to pay rent or utilities. Join New Mexico Legal Aid at Octavia Fellin Public Library every Thursday from 9 am-Noon for assistance completing the ERAP application.  They will be onsite for walk-ins ready to provide help in keeping safe, stable, and affordable housing. SPAY AND NEUTER SURGERY DAY

@ Puerco Valley Fire District (Hwy 191, half a mile south of I-40, Sanders, AZ).  March 19 will be the surgery day for those pets who sign up for the clinic . $25 will be due on the day of the surgery.

RMCHCS COVID-19  TEST/VACCINE/BOOSTER CLINIC

8 am-10 am and 2 pm-4pm Mon.-Fri. @ College Clinic (2111 College Dr.). 16 years and older. For test, someone will come to your vehicle. Please call (505) 236-1074 and someone will come out to your vehicle to obtain a specimen.

 

For vaccine and booster adult must be six months out from their second vaccine. Call College Clinic at (505) 863-1820 to set up an appointment.

RMCHCS CHILDREN’S COVID-19 TESTS/VACCINATIONS

8:30 am-11 am and 1 pm-4 pm Mon.-Fri.@ College Clinic (2111 College Dr.).  For COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11. A patient/guardian will be required to remain with the patient and wait 15 minutes for observation immediately after vaccine is given.
