The Gallup Police Department held a promotion ceremony for two of its officers on March 8. Sgt. Mark Spencer and Officer Neil Yazzie were both promoted by Police Chief Franklin Boyd.

Spencer was promoted to a lieutenant. He has been with the Gallup Police Department for 16.5 years.

Yazzie was promoted to a sergeant. He has been with the Gallup Police Department for 10 years.
