Gallup Police Department responded to 600 block of West Hill Avenue, in reference to a deceased person discovered at a residence shortly after noon June 30.
Gallup Police Detectives and the Office of the Medical Investigator were called to the scene. While examining the scene, detectives located another deceased body at the home.
Detectives ceased their investigation to apply for a search warrant. Once a search warrant was obtained, Detectives and OMI continued their investigation.
The second body appeared to have been deceased for a length of time when compared to the first body located. The State Police Crime Scene Unit out of Las Cruces assisted with processing the crime scene. Identification has not been confirmed at this time. Cause of death is not known at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.
