Bengals lose to the Broncos

The Gallup Bengals lost their first game of the season on March 8. The team lost to the Kirtland Central Broncos 42-0.

The Bengals play Bernalillo on the road on March 13.

Tohatchi Cougars win their first game of the season

The Tohatchi Cougars were finally able to play their first football game of the school year on Saturday. The team won 48-8 against the Thoreau Hawks at the Thoreau High School football field.

The Cougars were up by 14 points after the first quarter because of a touchdown and an interception return, which led to another touchdown. They led 26-0 at halftime. In the third quarter two more touchdowns got the team to 42-0.

Tohatchi (1-0) will play Shiprock at home on March 13.
