Part 1 of 2

Ever feel like you are trapped in a weird “time warp”? After reading several recent articles in the local media regarding the “alcohol” problem in Gallup, I feel like I am re-living April through July 2013.

Back then, Genevieve Jackson, Commission Chairperson, had arranged for a round-table discussion...

On May 29, the moon enters a Last Quarter phase. This means the left side of the moon is illuminated, while the right is in shadow. According to the Watching Series by Dana Gerhardt, the Last Quarter moon may seem like “crisis in consciousness.” Change is inevitable and often uncomfortable. However, change is absolutely necessary. Madame G suggests looking for clarity in the right places, at the right time, and in the right way.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Sometimes it feels as if the weeks drag on and on. You’re likely ready for something fresh. Learn to meditate and appreciate time in motion. When you feel as if you’re stuck, stop and look around. What can you do to elevate...

In McKinley County hundreds of poll workers are set to start working. Besides who will win each of the races, and there are quite a few that pertain to McKinley County, one question yet to be answered is how many registered votes will actually turn out to vote. Early voting numbers around...

Madame G. Guide to the stars WEEK OF MAY 20 - MAY 26, 2016

A blue moon occurs on May 21, and Mercury remains in retrograde until May 22. Expect disturbances in the areas of communication and clear thinking. Madame G suggests finishing any lingering projects. Don’t take anything too seriously — it’ll pass. As Jimmy Dean said: “I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”

Aries (March 21-April 19)

The Aries spirit is full of passion and drive with a tendency to childlike behaviors. You love fiercely while throwing equally violent fits. Don’t be ashamed. Your character may be summarized in one great literary figure: Achilles. His rage and love burns a kingdom to the ground...
