FBI arrests him in Gallup

Carlton Craig Sandoval, 38, of Window Rock, Ariz., has been charged federally with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The FBI arrested Sandoval in Gallup March 16.

Sandoval is accused of having a firearm in a vehicle in Navajo, N.M., on Jan. 1.

SANTA FE, NM –The New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance cautions consumers who have subscribed, or are considering subscribing to health benefit plans offered by Health Care Sharing Ministries (HCSM) that these are not authorized health insurance plans. A HCSM may use marketing practices that suggest its plans include the protections found in approved health insurance plans. However, that may not be correct.

Gallup Police Department prepares for COVID-19

The City of Gallup Police Department is taking proactive measures to serve all members of the community in the most comprehensive manner during the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and beyond. In order to better respond to the community’s health and safety, steps are being implemented to reduce in-person interaction for non-emergency police reports.




The City of Gallup website COVID-19 Resources page has been updated with a link to access online forms and services that are now available from the Gallup Police Department. All these forms can be downloaded and e-mailed to us. We will respond as soon as possible with a police incident report number.

Couple, associates arrested for vicious murder

Gallup has seen some gruesome murders over the years but a case recently filed in state district court involving Adrianne Cellicion and Glen Lonkesion may be one of the worst in recent years.

It all began on Aug. 14, 2018 when James Svinareff came by the Gallup Police Department and said he wanted to report a homicide involving a man named Kale Holden that happened at a Gallup motel two or three weeks before.

According to Svinareff, Cellicion had gone to see Holden to sell him drugs and he sexually assaulted her.
