Man’s vehicle burglarized near local bar

A visit to the Sports Page Lounge, 1400 S, 2nd St. in Gallup, Oct. 20 resulted in a Gamerco man losing everything he had in his vehicle to a thief.

The victim  told police when he returned to his vehicle about 11 pm, he realized something was wrong.

He said he’d locked all of the doors to his car but left one of the rear...

Body found behind former Silver Stallion Saloon

Gallup Police responded to 2604 E. Hwy. 66, behind the old Silver Stallion Saloon, in reference to a report of a male down and out in the field south of Silver Stallion with no shirt on Nov. 11 at about 7:10 am.

GPD Officer Brandon Salazar arrived on scene and checked for vitals on the person. No vitals were found and Officer Salazar requested medical personnel.

The Gallup Fire Department arrived on scene and confirmed the individual was deceased.

The Office of the Medical Investigator and GPD detectives were also called to the scene to investigate.

According to GPD Captain Marinda Spencer, the body has been identified as David Livingston, 52, from the Church Rock area.

Gallup Police Department officers were dispatched to Aztec Family Clinic at 2022 E. Aztec Ave. Nov. 13 in reference to a vehicle that hit the building. GPD Officer Richard Rangel checked on the elderly female driver who was shaken up but had no apparent injuries. Convicted child predator remains behind bars

ALBUQUERQUE —Attorney General Hector Balderas announced the successful prosecution of Francisco Saucedo, for charges related to sexual exploitation of children Nov. 2.

The New Mexico Office of the Attorney General secured multiple convictions against Saucedo, ensuring that he will stay behind bars for up to 30 years.

“People who commit horrific acts of child exploitation must face punishment,” Balderas said. “I am committed to putting predators behind bars and seeking justice for our children in New Mexico.”
