Under guidance of UNM-Gallup Professor

After a year in the making, the Disney Pixar animated movie Finding Nemo has been fully translated into Navajo and is ready for its premiere as “Nemo Ha’deist’ii’”

UNM-Gallup Associate Professor Joe Key was instrumental in the success of this long anticipated project.  Professor Kee was also one of the lead translators when Star Wars was translated into Navajo several years ago and he is proud of the work he has done promoting his native culture.

“As a translator, adaptation, and dubbing supervisor on this project, it has been my utmost pleasure and honor to represent the University of New Mexico as an Associate Professor teaching the Navajo language as I travel and share my experiences.”
