WINGATE, N.M. — Chinle (5-5, 2-0) beat Page 8-2, 6-5 in a double-header baseball game played at Page High School. The Wildcats scored a slew of runs in the latter innings to get the lead and keep the lead. Starting pitcher Troy Yazzie recorded two RBIs and stole base three times.

The Wingate Bears beat Questa 8-6 in the annual Santa Fe Indian Invitational. Wingate (3-1) came from behind in the sixth inning and recorded four runs to overtake Questa.

The Patriots (5-4) beat Bloomfield 6-5 March 17 in a game that was part of the annual Goddard Invitational Tournament.
Shiprock 18 Nucla 3
The Chieftains (5-6) walloped Nucla 18-3 in the annual San Juan Slugfest March 17. Starting pitcher Aarwin Chee got the win for the Chieftains who faced Kirtland Central in a 3-1 loss in the team’s next game.
Deming 10 Kirtland Central 0
Deming blew out the Kirtland Central Broncos by the score of 10-0 at the Artesia Invitational Baseball Tournament March 17. Kirtland lost to Artesia 11-8 before beating Los Alamos 5-4 on March 16.
