Gallup Police Department Jessie Diaz arrested Silva for DWI. Diaz’ reports states that Silva told him that he had drank “Bud Lights.” Silva, 40, blew a .14 and .15 during the alcohol breath test.

2nd DWI, Aggravated

Reports of reckless driving on State Highway 602 narrowed down the search for McKinley County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Johnson Lee. Lee pulled him over in the parking lot of the Family Dollar store on south Second Street. Boyd, 23, blew a .19 and .18 during the breath tests.

Tsosie, 31, was reportedly passed out at the pump at Gas Max.  During the breath test he blew a .18 and .16.

3rd DWI, Aggravated

Chavez was lucky that no one was hurt or killed when he decided to get behind the wheel, once again, intoxicated. He hit a guardrail on I-40 at exit 16, and then came close to hitting another vehicle. Chavez, 36, was also charged for open containers and driving on a suspended/revoked license. He refused to take any tests.

Aggravated DWI

GPD Sgt. Benny Gaona pulled James over for not having the headlights of her Jeep Patriot turned on. Her bloodshot eyes and swaying head gave her away, or as Gaona states, she had a “stupified look on her face.” Gaona also noted that there open bottle of Importers Vodka and an open can of Camo Silver Ice High Gravity liquor on the right rear floorboard. She blew a .21 – twice.

Aggravated DWI

MCSO Sgt. Eric D. Jim was on patrol when he noticed McCray traveling with her brights on, heading south on US Route 491. Jim pulled her over where she presented an Arizona ID. The breath test machine was down, and McCray, 23, consented to a blood draw. An open bottle of Smirnoff beer and bottle of Vodka were found in the vehicle, the report states.

Aggravated DWI

Kee, 30, was highly emotional after being arrested for DWI.  According to GPD Officer Cindy Romancito’s report, she was “crying, yelling and saying prayers.” She blew a .27 and .25 – triple the legal limit.

DWI

Saunders, 25, was so intoxicated that he winded up in the median at the intersection of US Route 491 and Lincoln Avenue, “down and out behind the wheel,” according to Officer Philamina Chischilly’s report. He blew a .19 and .18 during the breath tests.

Aggravated DWI

“Just cruising” landed Williams, 47, in jail for a DWI. She told Officer Diaz that she drank three Budweiser beers at a local bar. She may have been adding wrong. On the passenger side floorboard was an 18-pack of Budweiser and in the center console an open 12-ounce can of Budweiser. After her arrest, she refused to take the breath tests.

2nd DWI, Aggravated

Driving with no taillights alerted Officer Angelo Cellicion to pull Francisco over. Next, as the story usually goes, she smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. Francisco, 27, refused to take the breath tests.

Aggravated DWI

Lee was traveling southbound on U.S. Route 491 when MCSO Sgt. Jim noticed that he was speeding and proceeded to pull him over. Lee, 52, pulled into the T&R gas station. Jim noted that Lee “appeared to have urinated on himself.” At the jail, Lee blew a .23 and .22 during the breath tests.

Aggravated DWI

A liquor establishment that refused to sell to a reported intoxicated person, alerted police to be on the lookout for a gray Chevy Impala. GPD Officer Norman Bowman spotted Platero at Williams and Highway 66. Platero, 34, presented a Maryland driver’s license, but actually had a revoked/suspended New Mexico license. He blew a .24 and .25.

Begay was reportedly driving northbound in the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 491. MCSO Deputy Shane Bennett noted that Chee-Begay was “highly intoxicated.” There were three sealed bottles of Corona in the seat next to him. He said that he came from the Shalimar. Bennett noted that his shirt and pants were wet, and Chee-Begay, 25, said it was from dropping his beer. He went on to blow a .14 and .15 during the breath tests.

Dunte M. Elleby

2nd DWI, Aggravated

GPD Officer Doug Hoffman pulled Elleby, 25, over after noticing that he was swerving between lanes, but it took some time to find out his true identity. He claimed that his first name was Dmar, but this was done to reportedly avoid going to jail for an outstanding warrant. He was arrested, and wouldn’t blow properly during the breath test.

2nd DWI, Aggravated

Crain was involved in an accident on U.S. Route 491 and North Chino Loop. Deputy Lee had a difficult time getting Crain, 20, to cooperate with him. He tried to give a false name and once placed in Lee’s unit he began kicking at the interior, and dropping F-bombs as he spoke to deputies.

According to the report, he even tried to frame Lee after they arrived at the jail. “I know there’s no cameras in her and only out there so I’m going to make it seem like you threw me out of the room.” He then threw himself on the floor. He refused to take the required breath tests.

DWI

Charley, 25, knew that he screwed up. Deputy Jeff Barnhurst arrived at the scene of an accident. He had reportedly crashed into a tree in the Sundance community. He immediately apologized for drinking and driving. He and his passenger were transported to the hospital to treat their injuries, which likely included some broken bones. A blood test was taken to determine alcohol content with results pending.
